about

'Stasis' was recorded at the Willem Twee Studios in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands over a two-year period.
The studios house a vast collection of rare 50’s lab equipment and synthesizers like the Arp 2500. Drawn to its rich sound and impressive interface, this particular machine became the protagonist for ‘Stasis’. The album covers a range from my first encounter with the Arp, to performances where I have grown more accustomed to it. Each piece developed its own structure whilst playing the instrument.
During later visits to the studio, I expanded the spectrum with two Arp 2600’s and an analog tape machine.
‘Stasis’ grew into a document where the music feels close and sincere, stripped to its essentials and saved from the whims of editing and vast processing.
